1. What this is
The Ohio Valley Grazing Exchange (“the Exchange”) is a free matching tool for landholders with forage and livestock owners seeking grazing across Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and West Virginia. It is a communications board, not a broker, escrow service, insurer, veterinarian, or legal advisor.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when you create an account. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for activity under your account. Partner-staff accounts must use an official organization email for the partner you claim. We may suspend or remove accounts that misuse the platform, harass others, post fraudulent listings, or attempt to probe or attack the service.
3. Listings and matches
You are solely responsible for what you post: forage or herd descriptions, dates, fencing, water, rates, organic claims, photos, and contact details. Matching does not create a contract. Fencing, water, rates, liability, insurance, animal health, biosecurity, and payment stay between the parties. Confirm arrangements yourself before moving animals or opening gates.
4. Liaisons and third-party entries
If you enter a listing on behalf of another farm or family (including Amish or other Plain neighbors), you confirm you have their permission to post the information and contact details shown. Printable posters are provided for bulletin boards and gathering places; you remain responsible for how those copies are used.
5. Forums and content
Forum posts, education suggestions, and profile text must not include illegal content, malware links, doxxing, or spam. We may moderate or remove content. Education resources are curated summaries that link to partner originals; we do not claim ownership of partner publications.
6. Research optional fields
Optional FarmTec research fields are governed by the Privacy & research notice. Research use requires your explicit consent and is limited to anonymized or aggregated forms as described there.
7. No warranties
The Exchange is provided “as is.” We do not warrant uninterrupted access, error-free listings, or the fitness of any match. To the fullest extent allowed by law, operators and partner organizations are not liable for grazing outcomes, animal loss, property damage, or disputes between members.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the Exchange matures (for example, when a hosting partner such as OEFFA or Extension takes operational home). Material changes will be noted by updating the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
